Living Roadmap
For those of you sticking with us, we're excited to publish a glimpse at our roadmap - outlining upcoming updates and some of our future plans. We've got a lot more in the works that we'll announce at later dates, but for now, some visibility on what's to come!
Our first update was pushed on January 6th, 2025 to both Apple and Google Play stores (version 1.0.1). That update resolved some custom homeserver issues that users brought up, increased the map zoom and added an Incognito Mode to the app settings page (when toggled, you will stop sharing and your icon will default to your last shared location)– meant to give you more control over when you share and a quick way to manage battery drain when not actively needing to share your whereabouts.
Currently, we're working on troubleshooting some user reported bugs such as Android users experience an app freeze when navigating the map, and Android devices not sharing location in the background despite disabling battery optimization and setting location permissions to always. We'll also be adding Display names, a pop-up for Androids regarding disabling battery optimization (so that the app can work in the background) and more in-app options for battery saving modes. (version 1.0.2 set to push to app stores on January 28th)
Following that update launch, we'll address any new bugs or issues reported by users and push features like more maps, optional add by number (users will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out of being add-able by number) and more comprehensive sharing windows (version 1.0.3).
Should any user experience any bugs or issues that impact their ability to use the app, please report it to us ASAP so we can triage it and respond rapidly to ensure app functionality.
In that same vein, should users have ideas for features they'd like to see in the app, we'd love to hear about it!
